Lunchtime flying in Salt Lake City

Hey, clubbies! I don't fly often enough with most of you. Some of us are
flying our parkies together regularly during lunchtime in Salt Lake at the
"Seventeenth South Park":

So if you work in or near downtown, come join us sometime! This is the
RCGroups thread we use to keep track of when & where we're going to fly in
Salt Lake County:

To get an email notification when someone updates the thread, click the
"thread tools" link near the top right-hand side of the page, and select
"Subscribe to this thread". That way, if one of us is going to fly
somewhere in Salt Lake County and updates the thread to say where & when,
you'll get a notification within moments after the thread is updated. It's
a great tool to meet up with other flyers when you're just bringing along a
park-flyer to get a quick flight or two in over lunch and would like some
company!

The 17th South park is big enough to fly any park flyer or electric
helicopter, but I don't know that I'd fly a loud or fast aircraft there due
to the proximity to houses. We've been flying small EDF jets, helicopters
up to 600-class, park-flyer class electrics, and two-meter sailplanes there
with zero complaints but a lot of interested neighbors. The park is
situated nicely: the sun is always at your back, and most pedestrian traffic
crosses behind your flight line in the parking lot. And with so much
blacktop around, it's really easy to catch thermals.

Hope to see you there some time!
