SLC Council Meeting Minutes

Here is where the meeting minutes are stored. Does anybody know where
(month/year) to start looking for info regarding the modelport
agreement?

SLC Council Meeting Minutes

Aaron

I remember someone saying they had a Grand Daughter or some relative
that worked in the Salt Lake Government and may know how to find the
agreement between SLC / UTE RC and the ModelPort.

Does anyone know who this individual is that works in Legal Gov't
stuff.

For what it is worth, I checked "The Box" passed down by the Treasure
/ Secretary and it does not contain the SLC / UTE RC / ModelPort
agreement in question. But it does contain the original of the 2004
club incorporated doc.

SLC Council Meeting Minutes

I haven't found any written record of any agreement between the State and SLC. I hope it exists.

State Parks people I've talked to over the years all say there was an agreement but none of them has ever seen it. I can't remember the name of the head of the State Parks when this started but he told me there was an agreement but he didn't have a copy and had never actually seen it.

Rick Graham (the City Manager) (who I firmly believe rolls his eyes everytime some brings up the modelport) says there is an agreement but he has never provided a written copy (and no longer returns emails or phone calls or answers messages left with his office - he does run the largest corporation in Utah [slc] so I imagine he's an overworked guy). Paul Burke, the laywer who started this whole mess has never provided us with a copy of the agreement (he said Rick Graham had it).

The agreement doesn't exist online (as of one year ago) in any State or City website. It's not mentioned in any of the city minutes.

Rumers say it has been acknowledged verbally in council meetings so there is hope it exists.

Our best bet is go with Dell Cook.

As of the last conversation I had with Rick Graham he said he'd bulldoze a spot at the dumps and put the modelport there (nice and close to the composting facility no doubt). At the time he was presented as being the head of SLC parks and County Waste but he was the City Manager. He seemed annoyed about the entire deal and gave a strong impression that he'd find us some junky plot somewhere, whatever it took to get us out of his hair.

No budget has ever shown any money set aside for the modelport. No engineering firm has been listed as hired for any modelport design.

I've got loads of notes on this but they all lead to nothing worthwhile.

Get in touch with Dell Cook.

SLC Council Meeting Minutes

STEVE WILSON ATTENDED THE MEETING IN QUESTION.... THE BEST STEVE CAN REMEMBER IS THE IT WAS ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO... THAT WOULD MAKE IT 2005 ABOUT THE SEPT TIME FRAME.

SLC Council Meeting Minutes

I'll check my notes, I think it was 3 years ago.

SLC Council Meeting Minutes

I have a friend who is a s.l.c council member and he said he would check out what is going on with the field on monday and let me know

SLC Council Meeting Minutes

I have read all minutes from 2001 through halfway into 2007 and nothing about the model port.

I'm still looking.
